Every year more and more Colombians come to Austria. More and more of us are ambassadors of our culture in the old continent.
Hola Colombia decided then, together with the Colombians in Austria, to start an annual custom, that of holding a Colombian bazaar to get together and enjoy the flavours of our land while listening to the stories of other Colombians and our music.
This first bazaar was a great success. In Ottakring, in Lobmeyr Hof, Colombian families brought their local friends and relatives to introduce them to some of the joyful Colombian culture. The children enjoyed the playground, the adults enjoyed traditional drinks such as Aguardiente, Rum and Colombian Beer and the whole family tasted the flavours of the home cooking of Liliana Rodriguez, Cali native and excellent cook.
How about a tintico? Well, Don Joaco satisfied the craving of many with his portable cafeteria and his great service. Do you know Mousai? Maria Paula Mojica prepares delicious desserts, such as the babano bread, which is delicious. In a basar the game of Rana could not be missing. To see a child playing Colombian Frog in Vienna, who was born and grew up in Austria, is priceless.
All in all it was an unforgettable Colombian day. How important it is to build together a tradition that brings us together. Until the next bazaar!
